Farook Mahmood, Vice Chairman, NAR-INDIA
Dear Delegates, Sponsors and Stake-holders,
It gives me great pleasure to invite you all to the NAR-INDIA 8th Annual Convention, New Delhi to get an insight into what is happening in the real estate industry in India. NAR-INDIA organises an Annual Convention initiating interaction and real- ‐world networking amongst various industries in which real‐estate plays an ancillary role.
The real estate sector in India is the second largest contributor to the GDP of India after Agriculture and is expected to touch US$ 180 billion by 2020. The housing sector alone contributes 5-6 per cent to the country’s GDP.
The year 2016 has started with a very positive note. In order to give impetus to the growth of the real estate market, the government is taking several initiatives that will put the real estate sector at the threshold of rapid growth. Recognising the need of the hour to gear up to meet the future at hyper speed, NAR‐INDIA, the single national-level organisation, aims at changing the country’s skyline by elevating the standards of practice of the real estate brokerage business to a global level where ethics, transparency, accountability, rule of law and good governance prevail.
India is being described by many as ‘The most exciting real estate market in Asia’. Capitalising on this and built on the success of our show in Bangalore in 2015, the NAR-INDIA 8th Annual Convention, New Delhi promises to step up a few notches and bring together industry leaders and realty experts from India and abroad who will converge to discuss crucial issues faced by the industry in India.
The Convention promises to be the largest realty congregation in India with a large international presence. The 2-day event will be packed with engaging and enlightening educational and networking activities, culminating with a gala closing ceremony.
